BIG SPENDING ON 5G TO

FIX BOTH ISSUES

• 5G worldwide market is expected to grow significantly from $41.5B at 2020 to $414.5B at 2027, mainly starting from 2023
• In Jan 2022, Service providers are spending $22.5B for 5G at 3.5GHz band auction, in addition to their $80B spending on C- band (3.7~4GHz) auction in 2021 and $44.9B on AWS-3 Band (1.7~2.1GHz)

• New frequencies allocated for 5G do not penetrate building walls easily or at all

  • Big companies such as Ericsson, Samsung, Huawei, Nokia, Netgear build network Infrastructure and CPE are Ignoring Last Few Hundred Feet
  • This “gorge” that restricts both underserved areas and urban/suburban areas get high speed low latency access!!

• Based on the OpenSignal Survey in Sept 2020, the US ranked the lowest in terms of average download speed in 5G services among 15 countries.
